Surgical assistants usually have prior medical training, along with formal training in the surgical assisting discipline.
This course is intended for assistants who perform surgical procedures such as implants, sinus lift, bone thickening, and more.
The course covers the roles of the assistant in the operating room, the preparation of an operating room for the purpose of implants or other procedures performed in the clinic, the sterilization reel and its importance, types of implants for various purposes, the stages of surgery (including the drilling protocol), bone types for various procedures, implant-based restoration – types of restoration, knowing the various parts and taking different measurements, familiarity with the types of implantation equipment.
