The patient: male, 56 years old, healthy.

Main complaint: “I can’t eat and function properly and I would like to have an esthetic smile”.

Dental history: poor oral hygiene and dental neglect.

Intra-oral examination:

  • Advanced periodontal disease
  • Irregular occlusal plane
  • Teeth migration
  • Teeth mobility
  • Teeth over-eruption
  • Dental caries

 

Diagnosis: dental neglect, need for full dental clearance.

 

Prognosis:

  • Good prognosis for full mouth implant-supported rehabilitation
  • Good patient compliance and motivation
  • Good financial and physical ability

 

Treatment plan:

  • A maxillary implant-supported removable denture
  • A mandibular fixed implant-supported restoration
