Vertical bone regeneration in the upper and lower jaws, soft tissue management and predictability

Dr. Marco Ronda

31.01.2018

Course Status: Open

The treatment of vertical bone defects often possesses problems for clinicians. The clinical evidence shows that GBR is successful, but technique sensitive. The new management of the soft tissues, new surgical techniques and the introduction of the concept of volumetric encumbrance will change and improve the vertical-bone-augmentation procedure and predictability. The clinician’s knowledge is even more important to the success of the technique than his clinical skills.

The scientific program:
The theoretical part of the course includes different techniques of the management and passivation of the flaps. The implants inserted and the membrane fixation will be supported by videos and drawing, describing the different steps of the techniques.
The treatment of the soft tissues during the removal of the membrane, after healing, will also be discussed.
The practical part of the course will include a hands-on of the surgical techniques on a pig jaw.
